In my opinion, the important animal of my country is dogs. The dog is not only important for my country, but also significant for many countries  because of 3 reasons: the dog is faithful, friendly, and one of the family members.

First, the dog is the best of animals because the dog is loyal. When the dog has the owner, the dog smells their owner and remember forever until the dog dies. The dog can help their owner such as gets the news paper every morning, protects the houses because the dog thinks that they has to do it for their owner because of responsibility. Moreover, even though sometimes their owner is angry and kicks the dog, the dog will come if their owner calls them.

Second, the dog is the most of friendly animals. When the family members come home, the dog will have self- expression like kiss and wag their tail.That actions of the dog will make people happy. Furthermore, the dog has a good memory to remember when they meets someone just one or two times.

In America, people usually give the dog name and never call the dog by pronoun “it”. American always call the dog is he or she because they think that the dog is one of their family members. The dog can go to massage, and especially people have the hotel for dogs. Moreover, the dog can married with another dog, and the owner will make the wedding party for their dogs. When their dog dies, they will be sad and feel hurt inside.

I believe that people usually made mistake in the past even though it were callous unintentional or purposive. Therefore, many people want to fix their mistake, but sometimes they do not have change to fix it. If I can invent something new, I will develop the time machine which can help people live in the present go back to the past in the short time.

First reason why I expect to make the time machine is that help people go back to the past to visit death people. Many people feel disappointed because they can not meet their family member in the last time when their family member died. If the death person had something to entrust to somebody, they do not have time or chance to say it. That may become the longingly remember of the death person. The time machine can give the death person a change to say something with their important person.

Second reason is that the time machine can give a change to people who make an mistake go back to the past and fix their mistake. Some people made some mistake that make them feel regret in all of their life. If people knew about their mistake and they want to fix it, should we give them a opportunity to change it?

The last reason is somebody lost their opportunity for their job. The time machine can help them go back to get their opportunity. If people can get back their opportunity, they will be more respectful to it.

Topic: The English Language Program in VCU

Introduction: backgrounds (why our group did survey about the English Language Program in VCU)

Body: After survey, our group found three main complaints and we analyzed what factors made students dissatisfied

1.     Some students have dissatisfactions with their current level.

-       Comparing with other tests, ELP officers should examine the SLAP test which is performed in VCU can be a good tool to evaluate students’ level.

-       ELP officers should give more opportunities to rearrange their level.

2.     The large percentage of students regard the pronunciation class as the most unhelpful class

-       ELP officers should find the problem in the pronunciation class and try to re-organize the class.

-       Introduce different style of pronunciation class which were successful in other ELP courses

3.     Some students that ELP advisors didn’t meet their satisfaction, and if students configured their requirements, they thought that they are not enough.

-       To increase students’ satisfaction. Expand the meeting time between an advisor and a student.

-       ELP officer should conduct feedbacks which students are fully satisfied.

Conclusion: the important role of ELP courses (the bridge between a foreigner and an English student).  ELP officers have responsibilities for meeting students’ satisfactions.

In this paper, I distinguish three major problems with the SAT and recommend that SAT should be an option for students who transfer to college.

Students are compelled to get SAT test before they enter to college. However, students have many problems with SAT test which can make students get a lot of stress, decrease students self-confident.

First problem of SAT is the exam’s length because students have to do the test in the long time to complete the SAT’s three sections. Students just have a little break time and restriction on food that students may eat while they take the test. Students do not have enough energy to do good test because of hungry or stress of time. The solution for this problem is people can separate each part of the test which students can do in three day.

Second problem is high school students waste money for SAT. Many students have to get SAT test many times if they want to get good scores. Therefore, students pay money for fee of SAT, books, and SAT essay, ect. The solution is students can prepare and take SAT test for free because the tax should pay the fee for student.

Last problem is SAT is unfair for students who are not speaking English at home or international students. That students may get a difficult and long time to prepare the test because of language. They already have the knowledge in the brain already by their language, they may lose a lot of time to transfer to English. Moreover, most international students finish their high school in your country, so they have a high school degree that the similar to SAT. The solution is international students can use their degree like SAT, and they do not have to take SAT.

In conclusion, university should make SAT be an option for students who want to get scholarship, and have another test for normal students.

It is obvious that everyone is totaly different from hobbies to activites such as listening music, watching films with extremely high volume or staying alone quitely. When we live together, the oppositions cannot avoid. In some tense situations, these will lead to fighting or break relationship. Therefore, we have to respect each other.

I prefer using machines when I do my work. Although some people who like doing work by hand think the hand work is more delicate than the machine work, using machines has much more benefits the hand work can not have.

1. The machine work can reduce my labor. When I work with my hand, I feel so tired after finishing the work. On the other hand, the machine work is much easier. I can finish my work without being exhausted, so I can more work with the same time. Also, during the work of machines I can work other things or take a rest.

 2. The machine work is more accurate than the hand work. As I work with my hand, I try not to make mistakes or to do perfectly, but usually something becomes wrong. However, if I use the machine correctly, the machine work can reduce or not make errors.  

 3. The machines can do more complicate or dangerous work. For example, as I make my art work, there are some limitations with my hand such as cutting very fragile, small, or complicate modeling. In here, using machine is the solution. The machine can cut anything and even it is definitely safe.

I disagree with the idea that young people have nothing to teach older people even though older people have more experiential than younger people.

First of all, younger people have more knowledge about higher technology than older people, so they can give the older person their valuable opinion. For example, younger person will have more experiential about laptop, cell phone than older person. Most of parents like to ask their children when they buy high technology machine. Older people like parents usually think that they can learn some valuable information for younger people such as their children.

Second, Younger people study in higher education than old education which the older people studied many years ago. Because younger people study in different ways, they may have different thinking and different opinion. Younger people opinion can be valuable opinion which will be a good solution of the problem. Moreover, if younger people have a good opinion, older people should learn it because knowledge is very wide and big. People should learn and teach each others.

I think you have very good and strong ideas. However, many people will not disagree with you opinion such as students may waste their money because of tuition for unnecessary subject, or they will get more stress, so i think you should have argument in your third paragraph.
